The Mercedes-Benz lineup will look drastically different in five years.
The German automaker plans on launching 11 all-new models by the end of the decade in addition to powertrain additions that will see 10 plug-in hybrid variants joining the lineup. It’ll be a busy five years for Mercedes, especially since it is also debuting a new nomenclature at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show as the company rebrands itself heading into its future.

As previous rumors have hinted, Mercedes is set to introduce its Mercedes-Maybach subbrand at this year’s LA Auto Show with an extended-wheelbase S-Class sedan that is reportedly six inches longer overall than the current long-wheelbase model. Next year, an even bigger S-Class is set to debut that is believed to be almost 12 inches longer than the Mercedes-Maybach model and is likely to sport the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman nameplate.
In addition, the automaker is leveraging the success of its AMG brand and is set to introduce a performance line similar to BMW’s M Sport and Audi’s S models. The first of the cars will be a C450 next year, replacing the newly launched C400 and will sport a high-performance version of the brand’s twin-turbo V6 along with sportier suspension, wheels and tires.
On the SUV front, Mercedes is preparing to launch new versions of the GLK, M-Class and GL-Class. Alongside those, the brand will launch coupe versions of the M-Class and GL to compete with the BMW X4 and X6.
